I just got an interesting article through Google Alert. It was on Eonline.com and there's a hint about the future of Callie's and Arizona's relationship.
There is some "really amazing Callie and Arizona stuff" in the next couple episodes, a Grey's mole hints. "They are steaming up in their own way. It's much more of a relationship than it was [with Steamy].

I like the sound of that! Sara is so articulate about Callie's sexuality and her relationship with Arizona. It makes me excited for this season.

Callie's always been the most sexual character on this show, and to see her NOT GETTING ANY is so ridiculous. I'd be content with just one little passionate kiss at this point.
I realize there are a lot of Mallie fans as well and I used to ship Mark and Callie together way back when they actually had a chance at being a couple, but now, it would be way too contrived after how much they have grown apart as potential lovers.
I liked Callie and MArk together but now its even better. I consider Mark and Lexie as cute. But I just looooooooove looove love Callie and Arizona. (And I know I'm not alone :D )
So don't you dare Shonda and all the Greys writers. Don't you dare...

She has chemistry with Arizona, but honestly, I do not believe that Shonda knows how to write a lesbian couple,period. I love the idea of them and I think they're sexy and adorable together--or they COULD be--, but they don't know how to write them. Mark and Callie have had amazing potential since the beginning as well, if not, more so. I would not find it out of character or jumping the shark if they were to get together. It would actually make perfect sense to me. It's about the most organic possible permanent pairing I could think of on that show, other than Meredith and Derek.
To be honest, the way they've been writing Callie and Arizona together lately, I'd rather not be represented on television by, what's slowly becoming, the most frustratingly boring couple. Because they didn't start out that way. And I had high hopes. I think, like I said, they have amazing potential. But I wouldn't say Mark/Callie are any less significant. I actually think they have more root than Mark/;Lexie to be quite honest. Those two freak me out lol And that's all I'm saying.
Still love Calzone. I hope Shonda fixes what she's slowly going to break. Yes, I'm a pessimist at this point because the first few apisodes of the season have not left much to be desired of those two for this gay girl.

For me, though I adore Callie/Arizona (except I'm angry that these hot chicks are being wasted since they don't seem to be allowed to touch and stuff), Mark and Callie will always be my number one ship. And it has nothing to do with the fact that he's a man. I think they bring out the best in each other, and I think they have some of the best chemistry I've ever seen.
I'm just glad I found another pairing with Callie that I love, because I'm tired of seeing my girl unhappy. However, I do think it's unfair to say that Mark and Callie never had a deep connection, because I actually think they have possibly one of the deepest connections on the show, even if some people don't see it as romantic.
Ok...crawling back into my hole now.
