A girl my sister went to school with will apparently be in tonight's episode. It'll be interesting to see who her character is. I think the characters name was Toni/Tony Platt. So we'll see if she's actually in it. lol

Callie found it she couldn't have a baby because of that accident. She tells April cause they were working together. Alex steals a case from Arizona. She tells at him and he says he isn't cutting it at Lebackes he needs cases. She said then call me and say Arizona I need help. Last Calzona scene Arizona offers to have a baby callie refuses because they are too fragile. Arizona says OK. They both say they love each other. I'm not giving the scene justice it was beautiful.

And I love you, Mr. Austin Guzman.

I totally forgot he wrote that episode! No wonder I enjoyed it so much. I admit I really wasn't impressed with Alex even though he's an ass sometimes. It just didn't seem like something he would do to Arizona. Anyway, I loved their last conversation and Arizona freaking flicked him on the head! Loved it. Always a joy when Arizona is shown as the kick ass doctor she is too.

Callie's devastating news was predictable but oh my good lord what a beautiful scene it gave us at the end!

I wasn't worried for a minute about Calzona working through this together. Calzona Strong! Wonderful scene.

Of course that's not the end of it but as expected they talked to each other. No crazy argument but rather showing love and support. So very happy Shondaland did not go the Callie is near death route.

Arizona's challenge to "be stronger" is so present in that scene too with Callie's "we're still fragile" now comment. Love the awareness here as the last few eps have given some info drops of them continuing to work on their relationship; date night, we're going to kill each other, etc. or Arizona's "did you sleep with someone else".

Will be interesting to see how their shared fear about losing one another comes full circle in the next ep and how it will likely carry on to S11.

Even though Alex was being a brat this ep, I loved their scenes. How grounded and sure was our Arizona tonight. She's definitely getting her mojo more and more each ep. Feeling like some aspects of the Arizona of previous seasons. Loved that little slap she gives him on the back of his head.

Loved Owen wanting to soak up as much of Cristina before she moves on. :-(

That was a very quiet episode for the second to last episode of the season. Shocking. Surprisingly I liked the Bailey/Stephanie plot the best. Loved the Calzona scene though.

ps. I'm so excited about Amelia. Please show don't pair her with Owen next season.

Caught the last little bit and Callie/April really crack me up, even when it's sad like this episode.

It's not like Callie dislikes April. She likes her and they're acquaintances/friends, but she just can't take how ... April she is sometimes. I definitely have friends I'm like that with too. Lol.

The last scene was beautiful. But they didn't even suggest adoption?? I want Arizona to say next week that we are good Callie. I will carry the baby if something happens we will make it through it together.
May. 9th, 2014 02:20 am (UTC)
They kinda acted like it wasn't at all possible to have a baby another way. But I do think it was awesome of Arizona to step up & then for Callie to step in & protect her & their marriage. That was a cute scene. Either next week they'll make some other decision about it, or they actually don't give Calzona another baby.

Beautiful and honest closing C/A scene. Organic organic.

What they have now is fragile, but enough and right. Thank goodness.

Guzman gives them intimate and beautiful scenes. Really terrific.

Thanks a bunch!

God, the bedroom scene is incredible. So damned good. Rewatching that and the rest of it for a while to catch all the great stuff.

I so appreciate that Callie voiced how fragile they are, and the openness in their communicating and the tenderness... it really was a beautiful moment.

I'll take this over seeing Callie receiving the news (although we all know Sara would have killed that scene!!!). I'm giddy with anticipation to see how Calzona closes out the season...

All I wanted was for them to end the season together.
Also, three "Calliope's" in one season is a WIN in my book! :)
May. 9th, 2014 02:59 am (UTC)
great end scene! i want a calzona baby though, I'm hoping for az to say she will carry and they will go to therapy to stay strong! i want all the things we didn't get with sophia such as name game, decorating the baby room etc...
May. 9th, 2014 05:34 am (UTC)
I got here too late to post that first, but that's pretty much exactly what I saw in my head as the scene played out. I said out loud, 'This is what leads them to therapy.'
May. 9th, 2014 04:05 am (UTC)
I feel like after watching that last scene of them in the bedroom I had an epiphany! I feel like I know how this all ends/starts in the finale!!!! I'M SO HAPPY! :)
May. 9th, 2014 05:18 am (UTC)
I LOVE me some badass, braided Arizona setting Karev straight! And I just want to hug Callie. Please?

Oh! And their last scene??!!??? Wow - all the sweet hand-holding and the best 'Calliope' yet!!! I'm beaming and bursting!

Remember when everyone's biggest fear was Guzman?

Anyway, I loved this. Loved the parallel to the S6 breakup that shows their progress in so many ways over the past season. Just, love.
May. 9th, 2014 05:43 pm (UTC)
With last nights episode, I feel as though Guzman's penance for his early sins has been paid.

Hadn't thought about the parallel to 6.21, but it's there, isn't it? Instead of trying to thrash around alone because they confuse want vs. need, they're both aware and committed to the need while displacing the want. For now.

I really loved the episode especially Callie and Arizona
First, I'd like to thank both the writer and the director of this episode because it was so full of emotions and in my opinion the director really focused on that to show as how heartbreaking the scenes were.
I liked also and laughed when Callie told April if she call her with that nonsense word one more time, she won't like where she will stick this (the medical instrument in Callie's hand)
I also liked Arizona/Alex scenes, although I was kinda disappointed that Alex thought and stole her patient, and Arizona proved to be a real mentor one more time which reminded me of the episode when they were in the plane this season. She was hurt that Alex did such a thing but she was also here for him and that also reminded me of THE Arizona we know, the one who is there to help.
The scene of April and Callie when Callie figured out about April's pregnancy was really heartbreaking because I believe at that time, Callie already knew that she won't carry another child anymore and that was really devastating for her because we all know how much she likes children.
Later on, and for me the best scene of the whole episode is Arizona being this GOOD MAN IN THE STORM and stepping up for her wife, that's really well played by Jessica Capshaw and Arizona offering to carry the child was so lovely. I also couldn't stop watching this scene over and over again because they were so perfect as actress but also the scene was so full of emotions. Callie and Arizona both knew that if Arizona try to carry another child and it goes bad, it will pull them apart and their couple is still healing and can't handle another loss and I believe that's why Arizona didn't insist further and instead looked at her Calliope and told her how much she loves her even though she couldn't have another baby.
It was really a great episode !!!
May. 9th, 2014 02:23 pm (UTC)
The Callie and Arizona bedroom scene gave me goosebumps and made me all tearful. I think it has to be one of their most beautiful scenes to date. I feel for Callie, I feel for Arizona. Such a sad situation for them and I do wonder if there will be any ramifications for them re this...Will it be enough for Arizona? For Callie?

But either than those pesky thoughts - I just...Gah words can't express how beautiful that scene was. To hear Arizona use Callies' full name again and to hear fully properly not mumbled but emotion filled I Love You's from both of them blew me away! GO CALZONA!

Alex annoyed the crap out of me this Episode, while I ADORE the Alex/Arizona scenes he still bugged me.

Arizona was kinda in kick ass mode this ep which I love, her snark and Callie's snark was awesome this episode then to see the come home to one another and be so open and raw was just perfect!
May. 9th, 2014 02:34 pm (UTC)
This was a good episode.

But there was something about it that bothered me. This did not feel like a second to last episode. And does anyone seriously believe that Callie "acking womb" Torres would give up that easily?

The finale better be amazing.
May. 9th, 2014 02:40 pm (UTC)
It seems Callie is giving up her dream of another child because her relationship with Arizona is more important to her. But is it? If the emotion detector is anything to go by. She wants a baby more than anything. I hope there will be a medical anvil for Arizona in the finale that gets her to step up, with some enthusiasm this time and say I will do it. I would do anything for you. There are so many other options also. Not sure why they are giving up so quickly. Surely because this isn't the end of this storyline.

People keep talking about how wonderful the last Callie/Arizona scene was and I rewatch it, but all I see is them being awkward. They don't look like a married couple. It looks a bit forced. And I get it, Arizona's face was meant to show guilt or something, but it's not that.

Yes, it was nice to see them talk. But they lack a - spark. It's sad.

May. 9th, 2014 05:35 pm (UTC)
I don't know that it is a spark that is missing. I think we are supposed to feel a little off about it because this storyline isn't over. Neither of them is happy with the outcome of their talk. They just agreed to be OK with not getting what they both want. But they aren't ok with it. JMO.

I kinda wish this was Criatina's last episode. Spending 24 episodes to say goodbye to 1 character is a little much( and I love Cristina always have). The way everything has been promoted by ABC and Shinda et al. It seems like this is the end all/ be all of the show. This is supposed to be an ensemble cast, there has been a gross underuse of like 75% of the characters because there has been so much emphasis put on Cristina. ( I get it she is an important character, but telling her farewell over a full season at the expense of telling/ showing story lines is a great injustice to anyone sticking around) Shonda herself has said the ONLY scenes she has written this season have been for Cristina, which leads me yo believe that since there is no more Cridtina there will be no more Sonda writing for GA ever again except maybe the series Finale.

I get the need for closure and what not BUT losing 1 character (able it important) should not reflect this badly on the storytelling. This is completely my opinion ( I know not many if any at all will share this opinion) for me GA is starting to feel stale.

Meredith and Derek are again for I think the 3rd season in a row contemplating a move from Seattle.

Callie and Arizona for the 4th season I think are in the middle of baby drama.

Owen is once again left pinning for Cristina.

The interns are just as annoying as ever

Bailey.- she FINALLY got a good storyline, only for most of it to take place in 2 episodes ( also why is Bailey the doctor off Braden's case seeing as it is a leads case?)

Richard- like always is just kinda there every once in a while offering sage advice

Kepler and Avery- they are finally over the will they/won't they, and are now involved in baby drama of their own.

Alex- left but will keep coming back.

There is nothing new to these stories, they have happened many times over the years to many different characters. Shonda ( if she still contributes to the story lines) and the other writers need to either get creative with the characters or just end the show.

Many cast/crew say this finale is great, well for this viewer it better be because most of this season has been very lacklustre and very lazy with the storytelling. And as a set up for the finale this episode was just ok. It seemed more like a filler episode and one that could have happened at any point in the season, there want anything that special or memorable.

May. 9th, 2014 09:00 pm (UTC)
I agree. I actually wish they would end the show after next season, because the show is really showing its age. Just look at how many of the plotlines the fans have correctly predicted. I really think the writers have run out of new ideas for the existing characters, and the new characters aren't catching on. But that's ok for a show that lasted a decade.

Realistically, I don't see the studio ending the show yet, because there isn't really another show that can take its place with the same ratings Grey's has now. Maybe if the new Shonda show becomes a runaway hit like Scandal, or if Grey's ratings can't justify the high production costs anymore.
