I still can't believe Bailey did that. It was such an Izzie Stevens move. She's supposed to be smarter than that

I completely agree, she lost perspective here.

I can see that Bailey was headed in this direction. For several seasons she's felt as though she wasn't making any breakthrough's in some of her research ideas. To see that this approach worked and was very successful is great for her/patient but certainly crazy at the same time to take that kind of risk.

I've been re-watching S5 last couple of days and you can see that her emotional connection to the kids drive her to make questionable medical choices. The autistic heart doctor that briefly appeared on the show said as much to her as well.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I'm very interested to see how Bailey's next arc is developed as I personally believe both she and Arizona suffered the most in terms of storytelling under Phelan/Rater's leadership. Bailey's arc in S5 was fantastic. I'd love for her to be given material as rich as that in S11.

Isn't the writing leadership changing next season? I can't remember if it was Grey's or another show.

It is. McKee and Harper take over for Phelan and Rater. I'm pretty excited about it.

Ditto. I don't feel that Rater/Phelan put any heart into the show. I'm hoping for better from McKee and Harper.

Again, I'll sound like a broken record in this threat, but I would have to agree with you. If ever she breaks the rules or does something morally dicey, it is usually for paediatric patients.
